The city of Kinokawa was on November 11, 2005 from the former communities Uchita ( 打 田 町 , -chō ), Kokawa ( 粉 河 町 , -chō ), Naga ( 那 賀 町 , -chō ), Momoyama ( 桃山 町 , -chō ) and Kishigawa ( 貴志 川 町 , -chō ) of Naga County.
