location
The parish village of Kirchaitnach is located in the Bavarian Forest on the Aitnach river, about two kilometers southeast of Kollnburg on the REG 14 district road .
history
The name Aitnach appears for the first time on January 25, 1403, when Stephan the Degenberger zu Altnußberg transferred the mill in nider Ayttnach on loan to the abbot and convent of the Oberalteich monastery . The place Altaitnach used to be the location of a church ( Aitnach bei der Khürchen ). The church was demolished in 1885 when the new church was built in the former town of Waunz, which was then named Kirchaitnach . Initially a branch church of Viechtach , Kirchaitnach became a parish in 1921.
In 1808 political communities were established in Aitnach and dealers of the former Hauptmannschaft Handel, which were combined to form Kirchaitnach in 1818. The incorporation of Allersdorf to Kirchaitnach was planned as early as 1945 , but this was not implemented.
The municipality of Kirchaitnach in the Regen district consisted of the following districts on July 1, 1973: Kirchaitnach, Altaitnach , Aumühle , Böhmersried , Brandhof , Dörfl , Ehren , Grub . Haberbühl , dealers , Hinterberg , Neidling , Oed , Raklern , Rieglkopf , Schmidaitnach , Tanzstadl , Vorderau , Weinhartsau , Wies and Winklern . In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , Kirchaitnach came to the municipality of Kollnburg on May 1, 1978.
