description

The core of the hall church is of medieval origin. The current exterior and interior appearance of the church is determined by the last renovation in 1742. A corresponding designation can be found above the portal in the west. The nave is covered with a hipped gable roof made of beaver tails . The octagonal choir tower , which is designed as an onion dome , rises above the retracted, square choir . Its top floor houses the belfry . In the interior , the choir arch is now walled up. The location of the altar is in the eastern third of the nave . It is accentuated by the transverse division of the ceiling with coves and wide window niches. The nave has galleries on three sides. The church furnishings from the 18th century, apart from the pulpit altar , are modest.

On the occasion of Luther's anniversary in 1883, two history paintings with scenes from his life were purchased. They come from M. Hündemann and Leonhard Gey . In addition, two replicas of contemporary portrait painting about Luther and Melanchton were acquired.

The organ with 9 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1886 by Adam Eifert .
