The Spantekow Church is a listed church building in the Spantekow district of the municipality of the same name in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district . It belongs to the Spantekow parish in the Pasewalk provost of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in northern Germany .

The church was built in the 15th century as a brick building on a rectangular floor plan. In 1754 the west tower with a retracted upper floor and tail hood was built in half-timbered construction. At the same time, the windows were given a baroque segmental arch shape. The side chapels and the rectangular choir were added around 1857 . The choir was renovated in 1913. The nave of the hall church and the interior semicircular choir are flat roofed.

The baroque altarpiece dates from the second half of the 17th century. It shows a carved crucifixion group between wine columns, as well as free plastic carved figures of the risen Christ and angels on the entablature, as well as rich acanthus carvings . The painting in the predella shows the Lord's Supper . The Renaissance style pulpit dates from the beginning of the 17th century. It has rich fittings and panels of the Evangelists . The patron s lodge was built around 1800 and bears the coat of arms of the von Schwerin family on the parapet, divided by half columns . The gallery rests on fluted columns. A christening angel comes from the 18th century, the wooden one from the 19th century.

In the choir there are three figural cabinet windows from 1635 and a round window with ornamental glass paintings from the end of the 19th century. It shows a rosette in the form of a six-pass .

The organ was built in the workshop of Barnim Grüneberg in Stettin in 1860 . It has a three - part neo - Gothic prospectus .

The ringing consists of a bell that was cast by Gottlieb Becker in Stettin in 1788.
