The Burgdorf church district is a church district in the east of the Hanover region . He belongs to the Ev.-luth. Regional Church of Hanover. With its 53,000 parishioners, it is one of the largest in the Hanover regional church . The church district is headed by the superintendent. Since 2016 it's Sabine Preuschoff-Kleinschmit.
geography
The church district includes the area of the cities and communities Burgdorf , Uetze without Dedenhausen and Eltze, Lehrte and Sehnde without Bolzum, Müllingen, Wassel, Wehmingen and Wirringen.
Like the municipalities in which it is located, the parish is predominantly rural.
history
In 1859, Philipp Spitta was superintendent in the church district for a short time until his death .
From 1999 to 2002 Oda-Gebbine Holze-Stäblein was Superintendent, from 2002 to 2007 Detlef Klahr . After their work in Burgdorf, both became state superintendent in the district of Ostfriesland-Ems . Sabine Preuschoff has been superintendent since 2015.
