Oda-Gebbine Holze-Stäblein (born July 2, 1942 in Magdeburg ) is a Lutheran theologian. From 2001 to 2007 she was state superintendent for the Ostfriesland-Ems district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover , based in Aurich .

Live and act

Oda-Gebbine Holze-Stäblein completed her vicariate in Mannheim from 1970 to 1971 after studying theology . In 1972 she entered the service of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover and was parish pastor in Stade from 1972 to 1976 . From 1976 to 1981 she worked as a lecturer at the Religious Education Institute in Loccum and from 1981 to 1991 she worked as a parish pastor at St. Martin in Hannover-Linden . Since 1991 she has held the office of pastor of the second pastorate at the Marktkirche in Hanover , the episcopal church of the Leinestadt. In 1999 she was appointed superintendent of the Burgdorf church district and, after three years in office, was appointed regional superintendent for the district of Ostfriesland-Ems, based in Aurich, succeeding regional superintendent Volker Jürgens .

On reaching the age limit, Holze-Stäblein retired on July 31, 2007. The Burgdorf Superintendent Detlef Klahr was appointed her successor .

Other functions

Oda-Gebbine Holze-Stäblein was for many years a member of the Church Senate of the Hanoverian Regional Church and a deputy member of the Synod of the Evangelical Church in Germany . In 1991 she became chairwoman of the Advisory Board for the Renewed Community of Women and Men in the Church and also worked on the German Evangelical Church Congress .

Holze-Stäblein became known to a broad public because of her many years of activity as a spokesperson for the “ Word for Sunday ”.
