C3 Creative Code and Content is a German media agency and digital agency in the field of content marketing , corporate publishing and editorial design. It was created in January 2015 from the merger of KircherBurkhardt (Berlin) with Burda Creative Group (Munich).

history

At the beginning of 2015, the Munich publisher Burda Creative Group - an independent GmbH for corporate media within Hubert Burda Media - and the Berlin agency KircherBurkhardt GmbH, which specializes in graphic and editorial design, merged to form C3 Creative Code and Content GmbH, based in Berlin. Burda initially holds 50 (now 85) percent of C3 Creative Code and Content GmbH, the two co-managing directors Lukas Kircher and Rainer Burkhardt initially each 25 (now 7.5) percent.

The customer base of KircherBurkhardt and Burda Creative was bundled under the C3 umbrella. These include Deutsche Bahn, Bundeswehr, Volkswagen, Robert Bosch, Telekom, Porsche, Allianz, Edeka and Haniel.

The Swiss agency Arnold.KircherBurkhardt AG, Zurich, in which KircherBurkhardt had a 50 percent stake, remains an independent company, but operates under the C3 brand as C3 Creative Code and Content (Schweiz) AG.

Kircher Burkhardt

KircherBurkhardt was an agency in Berlin specializing in corporate publishing and content marketing. The graphic artist Lukas Kircher founded the company in 1999, initially as an agency specializing in newspaper and magazine design ( editorial design ). With Rainer Burkhardt, who joined the company in 2002, the range was expanded to include company magazines and the agency was renamed KircherBurkhardt.

Important customers were Robert Bosch , who had his employee magazine Bosch Zünder produced by KircherBurkhardt, Deutsche Bahn with the employee magazines DB Welt and the international edition DB World and the Bundeswehr with the Y - Das Magazin der Bundeswehr . The Porsche customer magazine Christophorus brought KircherBurkhardt together with the Stuttgart agency Headline GmbH, in which KircherBurkhardt participated. In autumn 2010 Headline became the independent KircherBurkhardt Stuttgart GmbH.

Burda Creative Group

The Burda Creative Group GmbH (short: BurdaCreative) was a full-service provider for content marketing and corporate publishing and part of the media group Hubert Burda Media . BurdaCreative was primarily specialized in business-to-business customer magazines . The most famous customers were Allianz Global Investors with the magazine Project M , Amway , Citroën with the magazine Passion , Deutsche Telekom with the music magazine Electronic Beats , DHL with Mein Paket , Edeka with Mit Liebe , Franz Haniel & Cie. , Clarins , Media-Saturn-Holding with the magazine Turn On , Sennheiser and many more.

The company was founded in 1994 by the former Handelsblatt journalist Manfred Hasenbeck as Yukom GmbH in Munich. In order to obtain capital for further growth, Hasenbeck teamed up with Burda, and the independent Yukom became the still independent BurdaYukom GmbH. After Hasenbeck left, the Burda Group changed its name to Burda Creative Group GmbH. The previous publishing director Christian Fill became managing director.
