successes
Olympic games
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Prigoda took 20th place.
World championships
At the 2015 World Championships in Kazan , Prigoda took 7th place over 100 m breaststroke and 5th place over 4 × 100 m medley. At the 2017 World Championships in the Hungarian capital Budapest , Prigoda won two bronze medals (100 m chest and 4 × 100 m individual relay). He took 7th place in the 50 m breaststroke competition.
At the 2014 Short Course World Championships in Doha ( Qatar ) he won the bronze medal in the 200 m breaststroke. At the short course world championships in 2016 in Windsor ( Canada ) he became world champion over 4 × 50 m and over 4 × 100 m. At the 2018 Short Course World Championships in Hangzhou ( People's Republic of China ) he was world champion over 200 m breaststroke (world record with 2: 00.16) and won the silver medal over 4 × 100 m individual medley.
European championships
At the European Championships 2014 in Berlin , Prigoda took 8th place over 200 meters breast. At the 2017 European Short Course Championships in the Danish capital, Copenhagen , he won a silver medal over 50 m breaststroke, a bronze medal over 100 m breaststroke, a gold medal over 200 m breaststroke and a gold medal over 4 × 50 m medley. At the European Championships in Glasgow in 2018 , he took 4th place over 50 m breasts, 4th place over 100 m breasts and 5th place over 200 m breasts.
Universiads
At the 2015 Summer Universiade in the South Korean city of Gwangju , he won a bronze medal with the Russian team in the 4 × 100 m individual medley.
Russian championships
Prigoda was Russian champion in 2014 (50 m chest, 4 × 50 m medley and 4 × 100 m medley) and in 2016 (50 m chest and 4 × 100 m medley). In 2016 Prigoda took 2nd place over 100 m breasts, 3rd place over 200 m breasts and 2nd place over 50 m breasts at the Russian championships.

Prigoda's parents are also swimming athletes. His father Gennadi Prigoda won two Olympic silver medals and was two times European champion. His mother Jelena Wolkowa won the gold medal over 200 m breasts at the 1991 World Championships in Perth .
Prigoda studies at the Peter the Great Polytechnic University of Saint Petersburg .
