Kirill Sergejewitsch Tulupow ( Russian Кирилл Сергеевич Тулупов ; born April 23, 1988 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL since October 2013 .
Career
Kirill Tulupov began his career as a hockey player with Neftjanik Leninogorsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaja Liga , the then second Russian division, in the 2005/06 season . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2006 in the third round as a total of 67th player by the New Jersey Devils . The defender then moved to the Canadian top junior league QMJHL , in which he was active from 2006 to 2009 for the Saguenéens de Chicoutimi and the Tigres de Victoriaville . For the 2009/10 season , the Russian returned to Europe and completed his first full season in professional ice hockey for HC Slovan Bratislava from the Slovakian Extraliga .
The 2010/11 season began Tulupov at HK Spartak Moscow from the Continental Hockey League , for which he was used in four games. In the further course of the season he also played for Krylja Sowetow Moscow and Molot-Prikamje Perm from the new second Russian division, the Wysschaja Hockey League and for the HK Sary-Arka Karaganda from the Kazakh championship . For the 2011/12 season , the former junior international joined the Oklahoma City Barons from the American Hockey League . For this he scored one goal and seven assists in 33 games. The 2012/13 season he first spent at Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg from the KHL, before he was transferred to Amur Khabarovsk within the league in November 2012 .
International
For Russia , Tulupov took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2006 . During the tournament he prepared two goals in six games.
