Kirsten Melkevik Otterbu (born May 29, 1970 in Øystese ) is a Norwegian long-distance runner who specializes in marathons .

In 2005 she won the 20 van Alphen , was sixth at the Hamburg Marathon and finished 28th in the marathon at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki . At the European Athletics Championships 2006 in Gothenburg she reached 13th place, at the 2006 World Road Racing Championships 31st place. In the same year she came second in the Frankfurt Marathon .

In 2007 she won the Göteborgsvarvet and the Stockholm Marathon and came third in the Frankfurt Marathon. At the 2007 World Athletics Championships in Osaka, she came 29th in the marathon. The following year she won again at Göteborgsvarvet and was fifth at the Frankfurt Marathon. At the Olympic Games in Beijing she finished 34th in the marathon, at the Mountain Running World Championships in Sierre she was fourth and won the national championship with Norway.

Kirsten Melkevik Otterbu is 1.70 m tall and has a competition weight of 52 kg. She starts for the Friidrettsklubben BFG Fana .
