Kjersti Holmen (born February 8, 1956 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian actress who is known for her diverse appearances in theater , television and film .

Life

Holmen made his debut in 1980 in the play "Mannfolk" at the Oslo Nye Teater . She then worked at the Nationaltheatret since 1981 and was a permanent employee of this house until 1992. She played over 20 major roles in various performances at the Nationaltheatret. She had her best-known role in the theater in 1990 in the role of "Emma Klinke" in Den Spanske Flue ( The Spanish Fly ). Holmen was also known for her appearances as a comedian , including in several revues with Hege Schøyen . She had other well-known appearances in the theater in roles such as "Eliza Doolittle" in George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion , in the lead role of Henrik Ibsen's Hedda Gabler and as "Blanche" in Tennessee Williams ' end of the line yearning .

Holmen has also appeared in numerous film and television series since the 1980s. In 1985 she had her breakthrough on the big screen in Orions belte and on television she gained greater prominence in the Swedish-Norwegian series Rød snø / Röd snö . In the NRK - Christmas series Olsenbandens første kupp the Norwegian Junior Olsen Gang joined them in 2001 as Gudrun Jensen , the mother of a band member, Kjell on. Kjersti Holmen has received several awards and prizes, including the Per Aabels ærespris in 1983 , the Aase Bye Prize in 1999 and the Amanda (film prize) . She received further awards in 1993 for her work in the film Telegrafisten , based on the eponymous template The Telegrafist by Knut Hamsun , and in 2000 for best female actress in the film Sofies Welt and in SOS 2009 she was awarded the Komiprisen in the category Best Actress in Revue and comedy for the role of "Edna" in the play Boeing, Boeing by Marc Camoletti at the Dizzie Show Theater . On November 16, 2009, the Royal Court announced that King Harald V. had appointed Holmen a first class knight of the Order of Saint Olav “for her efforts for the Norwegian theater” . On August 21, 2009, Kjersti Holmen was awarded the Amanda ( Amandaprisen ) for the second time .

Holmen has two children with actor Reidar Sørensen , but has been living with actor Sverre Anker Ousdal for some time .
