life and career

Büchner, who sang as a schoolboy, founded his first band as early as 1965. The left-handed gave up his attempts to learn to play the guitar. In 1975 he met Raymond Voss , with whom he first founded the group Basia , then in 1977 the group Torfrock . In 1980 he founded the Schlagerduo Klaus und Klaus with Klaus Baumgart , which existed until 1997. The first single was There is a horse on the floor . The best known piece from this period is An der Nordseeküste (1985), the melody of which is based on the Irish folk song The Wild Rover .

When Torfrock took a creative break in 1982, Büchner founded the Hammaburg group with Voss . The song Rocker Uncle Harry (Original: C'mon Everybody by Eddie Cochran ) was not a success.

In addition to music, he wrote poems, some of which he performed at performances. Shortly before his 70th birthday, he brought out a volume of poetry.

Büchner also worked as a voice actor in the Werner films, in which he spoke the character of Werner. Torfrock contributed a few songs to the soundtrack of the films . Büchner also speaks the rabbit Nulli in the children's cartoon series Nulli and Priesemut .

For a short time, Büchner also tried his hand at acting. In the film Geld oder Leber (1986) he played a singing waiter on the Wörthersee - motor ship Klagenfurt .

Before Büchner devoted himself entirely to music, he worked as a stage worker at the Ernst-Deutsch-Theater in Hamburg and was partly employed as an actor and theater musician. He described himself as a "vagabond between Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg". Later Büchner, who did not have a driver's license , settled in Frestedt ( Dithmarschen district ) and, according to his own statement, became "Stief-Dithmarscher".
