Klaus Bruckmann (born October 9, 1953 in Holtern) is a former German soccer player who played 193 games with nine goals in the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg and Bayer 04 Leverkusen from 1972 to 1983 .

career

In the 1971/72 season, the A youth player of MSV Duisburg was used by the DFB three times in the German national youth team. With his teammates from MSV - Lothar Schneider , Werner Schneider , Ronald Worm - Bruckmann won the finals on February 1st and 2nd under the direction of coach Willibert Kremer . July 1972 in Stuttgart with a 2-0 win over VfB Stuttgart the German youth championship . He got a licensed player's contract for the 1972/73 round and made his debut in the Bundesliga for MSV Duisburg on September 16, 1972, the first day of the 1972/73 season . From 1972 to 1977 the young player experienced the coaches Rudi Faßnacht , Willibert Kremer, Rolf Schafstall and Otto Knefler in his early years as a professional soccer player. Outstanding in the 1974/75 series under coach Kremer was the entry into the DFB Cup final. Bruckmann was there in the 3-2 win on February 8, 1975 in Munich against FC Bayern with Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller , as well as against FC Altona 93 , Werder Bremen and in the semifinals against Borussia Dortmund . The final on June 21, 1975 in Hanover was then lost with 0-1 goals against Eintracht Frankfurt . His last Bundesliga game for Duisburg he completed on May 21, 1977 in the 1: 2 away defeat at Karlsruher SC , when he formed the MSV defense with Gerhard Heinze , Michael Bella , Kees Bregman and Bernard Dietz .

In 1977 he moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2nd Bundesliga . There he met his former MSV youth coach Willibert Kremer as head coach. He was promoted to the Bundesliga with the Werkself in 1979 and played a major role as a regular player who played all 38 league games - as did Fred-Werner Bockholt and Jürgen Gelsdorf - and scored 13 goals. In his sixth season in Leverkusen, 1982/83, he made 23 Bundesliga appearances under the new coach Dettmar Cramer and ended his professional career in the summer of 1983. For the round 1983/84 he moved to the amateur team of Bayer and played in the future in the amateur league of North Rhine.

From July 1994 to October 3, 1994 Bruckmann was coach of the west / south-west regional division SCB Preußen Köln .
