Klaus Faber
Klaus Faber (born August 26, 1940 ; † April 23, 2019 in Potsdam ) was a German lawyer and publicist . From 1994 to 1999 he was State Secretary in the Ministry for Education, Science, Research, Culture and Religious Communities in Saxony-Anhalt .
Life
After studying law and economics as well as the oriental languages in Munich , Saarbrücken and Heidelberg , he worked in the Ministry of Education from 1971 to 1990 - u. a. in the areas of legislation, constitutional and other legal questions in science, university questions in the unification treaty, federal-state questions and educational planning. In 1972 he worked for the European Commission in Brussels .
Act
Faber was co-founder and member of the board of trustees of the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies at the University of Potsdam , executive chairman of the Science Forum of Social Democracy in Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. V. and member of the editorial team of the magazines perspektiven 21 in Potsdam and perspektiven ds , Marburg .
Faber wrote for Tagesspiegel , Welt , taz , Neue Gesellschaft , Berliner Republik , perspektiven ds and perspektiven 21 . He is co-author of the Handbook of Constitutional Law and wrote the Federal Government's report on educational federalism in 1978.
