Klaus Fehling (* 1969 in Cologne ) is a German writer , dramaturge , director and musician .

biography

After training as a bookseller, he worked as a journalist , PR manager (including for the Linux Association ), assistant director and dramaturge ( Schauspielhaus Bochum ) and theater critic. In 2002 he received a residency grant for performing arts at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart . In 2003/2004 he received a scholarship from the Stuttgart Business Club in the Literaturhaus.

In 1989 he founded the pop-punk band Die Blonde Burschen together with Mark Benecke . Since 2007 he has been guitarist and singer in the band Die Doctorate Interns under the name "Wolfgang 'James' DIN" . Together with Uli Winters he composes and writes mood songs, a. a. for the actor / singer Waldemar Kobus .

Since 2002 he has been working as a dramaturge for theater and opera productions throughout Germany. He regularly writes texts for the Cologne theater collective Futur3 and, as an author and dramaturge, belongs to "the hard core of the ensemble".

His plays have been performed by various ensembles so far. a. listed in Germany, Serbia, Thailand, Singapore, USA, Italy, Japan and Norway.

From 2013 to 2016 he was a lecturer for dramaturgy and creative / scenic writing at the Theater Academy Cologne .

In 2011 he founded the Luftschiff-Verlag in Bodenheim am Rhein , which had been based in Cologne since 2013 and ceased operations at the end of 2014.
