Marcel Keller

Marcel Keller (* 1960 in Düren ) is a German set designer and director .

In 1978, while still at school at the Stiftisches Gymnasium , he was a guest student in the sculpture department at the University of Applied Sciences for Art and Design in Cologne with Hans Karl Burgeff . After graduating from high school, he completed an internship in the equipment studio of the Munich State Opera . In 1979 he became assistant for stage design with Filipo Sanjust at the Vienna State Opera. From 1980 to 1982 he was assistant for stage and costumes at Jürgen Rose. 1982 to 1984 he was assistant for stage and costumes at the Münchner Kammerspiele . Since 1982 numerous works of my own as stage and costume design followed. From 1990 to 1992 he was a stage and costume designer at the Schillertheater (Berlin) . Since 1993 he has also worked as a director.

Marcel Keller designed exhibitions for the German Historical Museum in Berlin , the House of History and the Theodor Heuss House in Stuttgart. The Leopold Hoesch Museum Düren dedicated a solo exhibition to him in December 2006.
