Future tense 3

The independent theater collective Futur3 was founded in 2003 by the actors André Erlen , Stefan H. Kraft and Klaus Maria Zehe in Cologne. In addition, the musician Mariana Sadovska and the author and dramaturge Klaus Fehling are involved in almost all of the group's productions.

The pieces are often developed in improvisations from documentary material and autobiographical elements of the participants for the venues in public space. Authors are integrated into the work (and into the ensemble) by assigning writing assignments.

Futur3 is a founding member of the Free Trade Zone Ensemble Network Cologne and has achieved supra-regional importance through various festival participations and collaborations at home and abroad. The world premiere of Raumung in der Stadt by Claudia Klischat was nominated in 2006 for the Theaterzwang Festival Prize - Festival of Independent Theater NRW. The production father.mother.dog. (2007) was invited to the Theaterzwang Festival 2008 and, like the productions Eine Nacht in Afghanistan (2010) and Petersberg 1Nominations for the Cologne Dance and Theater Prize. The latter was awarded both the Cologne Theater Prize and the Kurt Hackenberg Prize for political theater in 2010. In 2016, Futur3 received the 27th Cologne Dance and Theater Prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, for its three-part project The Unknown Neighbor , which addresses anonymous death in the metropolises.
