The DaS Theater is a free theater based in Cologne . The focus of the work is on youth theater pieces that are performed across Germany.
history
The theater was founded in 1990 by Klaus-Volker Roth. So far there have been around 1,600 performances in front of around 300,000 spectators and international tours with the Goethe-Institut to Kazakhstan , Belgium and Turkey . In 1994 the theater received an award for “exemplary integration work” in the national competition of the German Association of Cities . In 2001 the production “Crash” and in 2005 the production “Wilder Panther Keks” was invited to the children's and youth theater meeting in NRW . The theater is a member of ASSITEJ , the Cologne Theater Conference and JuPiTer. It is financed by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the city of Cologne, through sponsors and above all through performance fees.

The current repertoire includes “You are my mother” by Joop Admiraal , “Wilder Panther Keks” by Günter Jankowiak , “Friends” by Klaus-Volker Roth with actor Marco Sprinz and “Creeps” by Lutz Hübner .
