Klaus Hugo
Klaus Hugo (born February 27, 1928 in Unterwellenborn ; † January 22, 2007 in Berlin ) was a German composer and music producer .
Life
From 1950 to 1953 he studied at the Erfurt Conservatory and became an orchestral musician. From 1953 he worked as a music editor for GDR radio . At the end of the 1950s he became head of the dance music department of the Berliner Rundfunk . In addition to designing music programs, he was also responsible for organizing music productions. In 1973 he was appointed chief producer for dance music . He was considered an experienced specialist who promoted interpreters such as Frank Schöbel , Regina Thoss , Andreas Holm , Ruth Brandin and Michael Hansen . Klaus Hugo also made a name for himself as a composer. He wrote a large number of successful hit songs and composed the music for a number of DEFA films.
