Klaus Marquardt is a German violinist who plays classical and jazz as well as folk , blues and rock music . He works in various groups and ensembles and is in demand as an accompanist for well-known artists.

Life

The Swabian Klaus Marquardt passed his Abitur at Georg Büchner Gymnasium in Winnenden . He then studied violin and chamber music with Max Speermann at the University of Music in Würzburg and received jazz lessons from Leszek Zadlo . The training covered the areas of classical, rock, pop , jazz, improvisation , blues, folk and avant-garde . At the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart he played under the direction of Helmuth Rilling , with the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra under Thomas Fey . He is a permanent member of the Stuttgart Orchestra of Cultures . In the field of new music he worked with Manfred Schreier. Since 1996 he has also been a musician for the musicals at Stage-Entertainment in Stuttgart.

He has been practicing violin improvisation since his youth and has been on stage with many bands of various styles, with his instruments being the violin, the electric violin and the mandolin . He is a member of the German Pops Orchestra, for which he also arranged and composed. His string quintet StrinXup plays his arrangements and compositions. He is best known as the producer , arranger and musician of the Swabian folk rock band Wendrsonn , with whom he recorded two CDs. Another of his bands is the German-Turkish group Limanja , based in Ludwigsburg , whose music fuses pop and ethnic elements. In 2008 the CD Aliena of his own project Violin Experience was released. Jon Lord , Miller Anderson , Die Fantastischen Vier , Pur , Silje Nergaard , Julia Neigel , Dave Demuth, Claude Schmidt , Ray Wilson , Xavier Naidoo , Sasha and others have already used his services . In 2016 he also rearranged the rock classics used in the school tragedy Punk Rock for a string quartet for the Esslinger Landesbühne . Klaus Marquart has been teaching violin, viola and ensemble classes at the Engelberg Free Music School in Winterbach-Engelberg since September 2018 .
