Klaus Scherer (journalist)
Klaus Scherer (born April 10, 1961 in Thaleischweiler-Fröschen ) is a German television journalist and book author .
Life
After studying sociology, geography and journalism at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz , he volunteered at Sender Freie Berlin , where he worked as a domestic correspondent for ARD-aktuell . In 1995 he moved to the NDR political magazine Panorama in Hamburg . Four years later he became an ARD Far East correspondent and studio manager in Tokyo . From 2004 onwards he produced documentaries and travel reports from Hamburg. From 2007 to 2012 he was an ARD correspondent in Washington . On July 1, 2012, he returned to Hamburg as a travel and special reporter.
Scherer is married and has three children.
