history

13th to 16th centuries

A village church had already been built around 1200 , but the street village was first mentioned in 1375 as parva Cziten in Charles IV's land register . The addition parva for small should serve to differentiate the then still independent village Großziethen. At that time it was 42 hooves , of which the pastor was entitled to three duty-free parish hooves; there was also a church hoof. Ten kossaites continued to live in the village ; there was a jug . Eight bushels of rye, four bushels of oats and two bushels of barley had to be paid for each hoof. Around 1375 the place was owned by the citizen Bever zu Cölln . He had the upper and lower jurisdiction , received half the bede of six shillings and other levies. The other half of the bede belonged to the citizen Landsberg from Berlin and in 1419 it came to the citizen Bastian Welsickendorf, who also came from Berlin. The Beteke Diricke family (Direken) received the rent and interest of four Hufen. Before 1450 Kleinziethen came into the possession of the Otte Wichuß family (Wichhusen, Weichhausen), who owned five freely bought Hufen. The remaining hooves were occupied by five cossets. In 1480 the village consisted of 42 hooves, of which three parish hooves and one church hoof went off. Thirteen hooves were now vacant and had fallen desolately , while the rest were paying interest. There were only three kossas and a jug left. In 1526 the von Bardeleben took over the five free hooves as well as all duties and services in Kleinziethen. In 1541 only one parish village with 38 farmers' hooves and three parish hooves was reported. The von Pfuel family took over the village in 1598 and handed it over to the Streithorst family in 1620.

17th and 18th centuries

Before the Thirty Years' War there were eight farriers , four kossaths and one shepherd in the village . Their own forge had not yet been set up, so a blacksmith came by if necessary. The area was 38 hooves, from which a four hoofed yard opened, which the von Röbel family had given permission in 1614. Kleinziethen was almost completely devastated during the war. In 1652 only two peasants lived with a servant - all other farms were in desolation. In 1662 the church tower was demolished. In 1681 the village came into the possession of the von Flans family, who held it until 1780.

In 1711 there were only three gables (= residential houses) "in everything". There was a shepherd and a groom. In 1717 a knight seat of the von Bardeleben with four hooves was built. The remaining farms were evidently occupied again in the meantime, as there were seven farms and four farms. In 1743 there was succinct reports of a village with two cottages and a manor. In 1771 there were still only three buildings, a shepherd and the shepherd servant. The district was 34 hooves in size for which eight groschen had to be paid. From 1780, the owners changed relatively frequently. In that year the von Zastrow family and a wife von Lüttow took over the village, who held it alone until 1800. From there it came to the Reichsgraf von Brühl in 1800, from 1805 to 1806 to the von Quast family and from there in 1806 to the Count von Bohlen, who passed it on to the Braumüller family before 1817. They held the village until 1838 and gave it to the von Moser family until after 1864.

19th and 20th centuries

Volunteer Fire Brigade building

In 1801 Kleinziethen consisted of the 34 Hufen village and the now eight Hufen estate. There were nine campfire sites (= households) as well as two whole kossers and four granny units . The village church had become dilapidated and was used as a grain floor from 1809. In 1840 there was a report of a village with a manor and eight houses. In 1858 the tenants lived in the manor with twelve servants and maids as well as 17 day laborers. There were four workers and two servants. The estate was big in 1994 acres . In 1860 there were two farms in the village that were built after the estate. There were two residential and six farm buildings; Seven residential and twelve farm buildings in the estate. In 1893 the rural community of Steglitz acquired the property and used the land to trickle down sewage.

In 1928 the Kleinziethen manor district was merged with the Großziethen community. In 1960 there was a VEG Kleinziethen with 131 employees in Kleinziethen. The church burned down during World War II and was demolished after 1960.
