Knud Knudsen (politician)
Knud Broder Knudsen (born September 15, 1912 in Wyk auf Föhr ; † April 6, 2000 in Rendsburg ) was a German politician ( FDP , later CDU ).
From 1967 to 1969 he was Minister of Economics and Transport for Schleswig-Holstein .
Life and work
After finishing school, Knudsen completed a commercial apprenticeship in Kiel from 1930 to 1933 . He then worked in various industries from coal imports to shipping in Kiel, Stralsund , Rostock and Hamburg . Later he became co-owner of the shipping company Sartori & Berger and owner of a housing association in Rendsburg. Knudsen was chairman of the association for trade, craft and industry in the district of Rendsburg and board member of the employers' association Rendsburg / Neumünster .
Knudsen, who was an Evangelical Lutheran , was married and had four children.
Political party
Knudsen was originally a member of the FDP , which he left on January 5, 1952. On January 30, 1953, he joined the CDU. He became local chairman for the city of Rendsburg and deputy district chairman in the district of Rendsburg.
MP
From 1945 to 1959 Knudsen was a member of the Rendsburg council. From 1949 to 1967 he was a member of the district council in the Rendsburg district .
Knudsen was a member of the state parliament in Schleswig-Holstein from 1950 to 1971 . He initially represented the constituency of Rendsburg-Ost, from 1967 the constituency of Rendsburg-Nord in the state parliament. From 1954 to 1967 he was chairman of the transport committee of the state parliament.
The state parliament sent Knudsen to the fourth federal assembly , which on July 1, 1964 re-elected Heinrich Lübke as federal president .
Public offices
From December 23, 1958 to April 28, 1967 Knudsen was Parliamentary Representative of the Minister for Economics and Transport. From June 1, 1967 to March 21, 1969 he was himself Minister for Economics and Transport in Schleswig-Holstein.
