Koboldo ( Russian Коболдо ) is a village (selo) in the Amur Oblast ( Russia ) with 445 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The place is about 470 km as the crow flies northeast of the administrative center of Blagoveshchensk in the low mountain range , which stretches between the Selemjagebirge in the north and the northwestern foothills (Esop ridge) of the Burejagebirge in the east. It is about 2 km from the right bank of the Selemdscha .
Koboldo belongs to the Selemjinsky Rajon and is about 20 km to the south-west of its administrative seat Ekimchan . It is the only village in the municipality (gorodskoje posselenije) Possjolok Koboldo.
history
The place was founded in 1904 as a gold prospecting settlement. His name is Evenk origin, probably derived from Kolbo, the name of a food store. From 1958 to 2012 Koboldo had urban-type settlement status .

Koboldo is connected to the Svobodny - Fevralsk (on the Baikal-Amur Mainline ) - Ekimchan road (there is a small regional airport), which runs by almost ten kilometers to the north and opens up the far east of the oblast. On the opposite, left bank of the Selemdscha, the road from Koboldo continues in a south-easterly direction to the village of Ogodscha, 25 km away on the Selemdscha tributary of the same name.
