Kolaka Timur (German: Ost-Kolaka ) is a government district ( Kabupaten ) in the southeast of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi . The district is part of the Sulawesi Tenggara Province ( Southeast Sulawesi ).

Kolaka Timur Governorate is one of the few governorates on Sulawesi Island that does not have access to the sea. Its neighbors are Kolaka Utara District to the north and northwest , Konawe and Konawe Selatan Districts to the east , Bombana District to the south, and Kolaka District to the west

Administrative division

The Kolaka Timur District was separated from the Kolaka District by Law No. 8 in 2013 and consists of twelve administrative districts ( Kecamatan ) and 133 villages.
