Buton Tengah (German: Zentralbuton) is a government district ( Kabupaten ) on the Indonesian island of Muna . The district is part of the Sulawesi Tenggara Province (Southeast Sulawesi). The administrative seat is in Labungkari in the Lakudo district.

geography

The main part of the administrative district is located in the southeast of the island of Muna and is bordered by the district of Muna to the north and by the town of Bau Bau on the island of Buton to the east (separated by a narrow strait) . The natural border in the east and south forms the Floresee ( Laut Flores ). In the south of the island of Kabaena, about 25 km to the west, is the Talaga Raya district. In the north it borders on the administrative district of Bombana . " According to Kabupaten Buton Tengah Dalam Angka 2020 ", the administrative region has 13 islands.

The district of Buton Tengah was spun off from the district of Buton by Law No. 15 in 2014 and is composed of seven administrative districts ( Kecamatan ) (as of 2019):
