Kolaka Utara (German: Nord-Kolaka ) is a government district ( Kabupaten ) in the southeast of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi . The district is part of the Sulawesi Tenggara Province ( Southeast Sulawesi ).

geography

The administrative district borders in the north on the district (Kabupaten) Luwu Timur of the province Sulawesi Selatan , in the east on the districts Konawe, Konawe Utara and Kolaka Timur, in the south on the district Kolawa and in the west the Gulf of Bone ( Teluk Bone ) forms one natural border. The capital of the district is Lasusua .

Administrative division

Kolaka Utara District was created in 2003 through a spin-off from Kolaka District (Law No. 29) and consists of 15 administrative districts ( Kecamatan ) and 133 villages.
