Konstantin Grigoryevich Scharowarow ( Russian Константин Григорьевич Шароваров , Belarusian Канстанцін Рыгоравіч Шаравараў ;. White Russian transcription Kanstanzin Ryhorawitsch Scharawarau * 15. August 1964 in Minsk ) is a Belarusian handball coach and former handball player who mostly on Right Wing was used.

The 1.81 m tall and 79 kg heavy left-hander comes from the great handball talent factory at SKA Minsk . There he alternated on the outside position with Yuri Shevtsov . With the Army Club, he won the Soviet championship five times, the European Champion's Cup three times and the European Cup Winners' Cup twice . With the Soviet national team Konstantin Scharowarow was Olympic champion at the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. For the Olympic victory he received the award of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (Заслуженный мастер спорта СССР). Two years later he won the silver medal at the World Cup .

A year before the 1992 Olympics , his Achilles tendon tore . After four months, he made his comeback and opened another crack . Not only did he have to finally bury his dream of a second gold, but his entire career was on the brink of failure, as doctors feared that he would never be able to walk properly again. But Sharovarov wanted to play, regardless of the league. In 1992 he moved to Germany for the second division club SV Blau-Weiß Spandau . After a year he went to Israel to Maccabi Rishon LeZion , but returned after two seasons to Minsk, where he became the Belarusian champion in 1996. After another year in Israel he came to Sweden in 1997 and played for GF Kroppskultur and Anderstorps SK until 2001.

After the end of his career, Sharovarov took over the women's team BNTU BelAZ Minsk in 2004 and was the assistant coach of the Belarusian women's national team .
