Konstantin Wienstroer

Konstantin Wienstroer (born July 7, 1969 in Neuss ) is a German jazz bassist who is also active in fusion and world music .

Live and act

Wienstroer began playing classical music on the violin at the age of six. At the age of 16 he switched to the electric bass and popular music. At the age of 20 he discovered the double bass , which he first studied with Wayne Darling in Vienna and with Reinhard Glöder . In 1996 he completed his studies at the Folkwangschule , where he founded the Unfinished Business trio with Felix Elsner and Veit Lange , which was awarded the Folkwang Prize in the jazz category and released an album of the same name in 1997. He also played with Ziroli Winterstein , Jürgen Dahmen and Markus Wienstroer . He went on tour with the groups Zabriskie Point around Rupert Stamm , Mainpoint and La Düsseldorf . In recent years he has worked with Daniel Basanta , Hazy Osterwald , Wolf Maahn , Peter Baumgärtner / Inga Lühning and Lulu Reinhardt . He also performed with Jarek Smietana , Philipp van Endert and Peter Weiss .

He is also on recordings by Bobby Hebb , Stefan Krachten , Daniel Küfer, Klaus Dingers la new? , Stephan-Max Wirth , the Turkish-German band Tan and the Nighthawks to hear. He is also a member of the André Krengel Acoustic Embassy and active in various world music projects.
