Konyár is a municipality in the Derecske-Létavértes small area in eastern Hungary , on the right bank of the Kék-Kálló River on the border with Romania .

history
The settlement already existed in the 10th century. According to the Váradi Regestrum (Latin: Regestrum Varadiense) - Varadinum and Várad are older names of Oradea - it was the seat of the Ákos family. Outstanding is the Calvinist reformed church from the 13th century, originally built in the Romanesque style . Except for the tower, it was rebuilt in Baroque style in 1741-44 .
