Koulan Karki (also: Koula Karki , Koulakarki ) is a village in the rural community of Olléléwa in Niger .

The village, headed by a traditional chief (chef traditionnel) , is located in the Damergou countryside , about 22 kilometers southeast of the village of Olléléwa, the capital of the rural community of the same name, which belongs to the Tanout department in the Zinder region. The German Africa explorer Heinrich Barth , who visited the area in 1851, described Koulan Karki ("Kūla-n-Kérki") as a large village that was politically one of the most important in Damergou alongside Dan Kamsa , Farara , Olléléwa and Taghelel . According to Barth, Mūssa , the ruler of Koulan Karki, held the title sserki-n-Damerghū .

At the 2012 census, Koulan Karki had 725 residents who lived in 89 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 223 in 39 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 282 in 60 households.
