Kreinberg is a district of the municipality Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The living space is located east of the hill village of Wiblingwerde on the hillside above the Kreinberger Bach , a tributary of the Lenne . In the village there is a farm with 48 hectares of agriculture and forestry, 50 dairy cows and chicken rearing, as well as agricultural tourism offers.

In addition to Wiblingwerde, neighboring locations are the locations and residential areas of Eilerde , Brantenhahn , Höchsten , Helbecke , Opperhusen , Stübbecken , Hallenscheid , Buchholz and Eickhoff .

Kreinberg was first mentioned as Creynberg in 1707 . The place name is derived from Krähenberg . Other mentions are Kreinnberg (1710), Creyenberg (1724), Creymberg / Kreinberg (1728) and Kreinberg (1733). From 1810 the place is continuously called Kreinberg .

From Kreinberg the granary from 1597, in 1938 to the new location on the Wiblingwerder schoolyard comes translocated was. The existence of the place in the 16th century is proven by the building. The Wiblingwerder gallows also stood in the Kreinberg .

Until the 19th century, Kreinberg belonged to the parish , office , recipe and district court of Altena of the county of Mark . On April 1, 1907, the municipalities of Wiblingwerde and Kelleramt were combined to form the municipality of Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde, making Kreinberg what is now the municipality.
