Stübbecken is a residential area in the municipality of Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde in the Märkisches Kreis in the administrative district of Arnsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia ( Germany ).

Location and description

The location is to the east of the hill village of Wiblingwerde and is only separated from it by the L692 state road.

In addition to Wiblingwerde, neighboring locations are the locations and residential areas of Eilerde , Brantenhahn , Höchsten , Heide , Alte Heide , Eickhoff , Hallenscheid , Neuenhaus , Buchholz and Kreinberg .

history

Stübbecken was first mentioned in 1696 as Stübgen . The place name is derived from tree stump and thus belongs in the broader sense to the group of clearing names . Further mentions are Stüffken (1732), Stüffgen (1734), Stüffcken (1735), Stüfgen (1761), Stöffeken (1767), stüwecke Kotten (1769), Stöfeken (1816) and Stüfeken (1818).

Stübbecken belonged to the parish , office , recipe and district court Altena of the county of Mark until the 19th century . From 1816 the place was part of the school district Wiblingwerde of the tax community Wiblingwerde of the rural mayor's office Altena in the Altena district , in 1818 four residents lived in the place. The place categorized as Kotten according to the place and distance table of the government district Arnsberg had a residential building and an agricultural building in 1839 and was incorrectly referred to as Stüsecken . At that time, six residents lived in the village, all of whom were evangelicals.

The municipality lexicon for the province of Westphalia in 1885 gives a number of five residents for Stübecken who lived in a residential building. In 1895 the place had a residential building with nine residents, in 1905 one residential building and eight residents are given.

On April 1, 1907, the municipalities of Wiblingwerde and Kelleramt were combined to form the municipality of Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde, which resulted in Stübbecken in what is now the municipality.

In the 1950 / 1960s a sewage treatment plant was put into operation near Stübbecken. In the 1980 / 90s, according to the measurement table, the old courtyard was removed and a new residential building was built a few meters further west.
