Kreuzwertheim is the capital of the Kreuzwertheim market and the seat of the Kreuzwertheim administrative community . It has 2937 inhabitants.

location
The place is in the Main Valley on the edge of the Spessart opposite the Baden-Württemberg town of Wertheim . The place extends on the Bavarian State Road 2315. Before the construction of the bypass road, it led from the federal highway 3 as Lengfurter Straße from the northeast into the place. Today it leads to a roundabout north of the western part of the village, from where it turns north. There the former course of the state road branches off to the south as Haslocher Straße into the village. From the same roundabout, state road 508 leads west over the Main Bridge to Baden-Württemberg , which leads there to Wertheim and from there on to federal road 27 near Hardheim . Kreuzwertheim has been Protestant since the Reformation introduced by the local Count House . The originally Catholic village church "Zum Heiligen Kreuz" has been an Evangelical Lutheran church since then. There is also the Catholic parish Heiligkreuz (Church of the Holy Cross ) and the New Apostolic Church Kreuzwertheim.
