Krishnanagar ( Nepali कृष्णनगर Krishnanagar ) is a city ( municipality ) in the middle Terai in the Kapilbastu district ( Nepal ) directly on the Indian border.
The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Krishnanagar , Shivanagar and Sirsihawa . The urban area covers 22.64 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Krishnanagar emerged, had 20,395 inhabitants (10,657 of them male) in 2922 households.
