Krunoslav Šebrek

Krunoslav Šebrek (* 1982 in Herisau , Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden ) is a Swiss actor of Croatian origin.

Life

Šebrek's mother tongue is Croatian ; he now speaks with the Swiss dialect. Šebrek completed an acting training at the Zurich University of the Arts from 2004 to 2008 .

During his apprenticeship he played the title role in Tartuffe (director: Philip Bartels), the arsonist Josef Schmitz in Biedermann and the arsonists (director: Jan Philipp Gloger ) and the prince in Elfriede Jelinek's princess dramas (director: Heike M. Götze) . From 2006 to 2008 he had his first permanent engagement at the Theater an der Sihl in Zurich .

From 2008 to 2010 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Essen under the directorship of Anselm Weber . There he appeared as alto in the play Illness of Youth (premiere: season 2008/09; director: Nuran David Calis ), as friend Cliff Lewis in the drama Blick zurück im Zorn (director: Heike M. Götze) and as a temple lord in Nathan der Weise (2009/10 season; director: Lisa Nielebock).

In Calis' staging of Illness of Youth - his role had been reinterpreted from a doctor who was euthanasia to a dealer - Šebrek played an “exhausting, sympathetic, guilty and responsible do-gooder who, on the way to becoming a general practitioner, every party and also takes a threesome with him. A cool saying comes out just as easily as a moral principle. ”In Nielebock's Nathan production, Šebrek played the Templar as a“ naive, confused youth ”.

From the 2010/11 season, Šebrek was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . There he played Templar in Nathan the Wise (premiere: October 2010), Major Crampas in a stage version by Effi Briest (premiere: February 2011), the poet Lignière in Cyrano de Bergerac (premiere: 2010/11 season; director: Katharina Thalbach ), the gangster Ernesto Roma in Der aufhaltsame Aufstieg des Arturo Ui (premiere: 2010/11 season; May 2011), the son Happy Loman in Death of a Salesman (2011/12 season) and the teenage lover Titta Nane in Zoff in Chioggia (2011/12 season; adaptation and direction: Nuran David Calis).

Since the 2013/14 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Weimar . So far he has played there a. a. Poet / Wagner / Valentin u. a. in Faust I (premiere: 2013/14 season), Illo in Wallenstein (premiere: 2014/15 season) and Ruprecht in Der zerbrochne Krug (2014/15 season). In the 2015/16 season he took on the roles of Apollyon / Ämilian in Romulus the Great by Friedrich Dürrenmatt alongside Max Landgrebe (as Emperor Zeno) . In the 2015/16 season he also took on the roles of Zettel / Pyramus in a new production of the Shakespeare comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream . In the 2017/18 season he was the friar in a new production by Nathan the Wise directed by Hasko Weber . At the opening of the “Kunstfest Weimar” in August 2018 he appeared as Macduff in a new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth (directed by Christian Weise ) on the stage of the Weimar National Theater; he will also play this role there in the 2018/19 season.

Šebrek also took on some film and television roles. Since 2005 he has appeared in several short films .

In 2011/2012, he had a continuous series role as Fabian Feldkamp in the soap opera Everything that counts . He played the press spokesman for the BDE ("Bund Deutscher Eiskunstlauf") and rapist of the character Katja Bergmann. In October 2018 he was seen in the 18th season of the ZDF series SOKO Leipzig in a leading role as the brutal drug dealer René Scholl.

Šebrek is in a relationship with the theater actress Nadja Robiné , who is also engaged at the National Theater Weimar; the couple have two children together.
