Eduard Kuno Becker Baz (born January 14, 1978 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican actor .

Life

Becker, great-nephew of the well-known Mexican actress María Félix , was actually aiming for a career as a solo violinist and began studying violin at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Nacional de Musica in Mexico, which he completed at 17. He then decided to study acting at the Centro de Educación Artística . He has played in television series such as Te sigo amando and Para toda la vida since 1996 . He took his first major role in a movie in the Mexican drama The First Night from 1998. In 1999 he received the Herald Award for his theater work . For his role in the comedy La hija del caníbal (2003) he was nominated in 2003 for the Mexican version of the MTV Movie Awards . In the film drama Imagining Argentina (2003) he was seen in a supporting role alongside Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson .

Becker took on one of the leading roles in the period film Nomad (2005). He also played a leading role in the US-British sports drama Goal - Live Your Dream (2005), for which he was nominated for the Teen Choice Award in 2006 and the 2007 Imagen Award . The leading role in the film drama English as a Second Language (2005) was followed by another in the sequel Goal II - The dream is real! (2007), in which supporting roles were cast with Leonor Varela , Elizabeth Peña , Rutger Hauer and Alessandro Nivola , among others . In the comedy Sex and Breakfast (2007) he played the husband of Renee ( Eliza Dushku ), who practiced partner swapping with the married couple James ( Macaulay Culkin ) and Heather ( Alexis Dziena ) as part of a therapy.

In early October 2012, Becker was hired for the role of Andres Ramos in the television series Dallas , the sequel to the television series of the same name from the 1980s.
