Kurt Bracharz

Kurt Bracharz (born September 28, 1947 in Bregenz , Vorarlberg ; † January 6, 2020 ) was an Austrian writer and journalist .

Life

After graduating from high school, Bracharz worked from 1968 to 1972 as an employee at a bank as well as at the district court and the state invalidity office in Bregenz. From 1972 to 1990 he worked as a vocational school teacher in Dornbirn .

From 1990 Bracharz worked as a journalist for the Kronenzeitung Vorarlberg and ORF . From 1997 he lived as a freelance writer in Bregenz. In 1998 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . Bracharz was the author of detective novels , short stories , children's books , essays , restaurant reviews and radio plays , and he also translated from English .

Bracharz was a member of the Vorarlberg authors 'association and the IG authors' authors .
