Kurt Müller-Reitzner

Kurt Müller-Reitzner (born April 23, 1922 in Vienna ; † September 3, 2002 in Bremerhaven ) was an Austrian actor , radio play speaker , theater director and director.

Life

In the early 1940s, Kurt Müller-Reitzner began a successful training course as an actor at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in his hometown, which had to be interrupted due to the war. At the beginning of his stage career he worked at the Stadttheater Baden and in Vienna at the Scala . From 1949 Müller-Reitzner directed two smaller theaters in the Austrian capital, namely the avant-garde theater T 49 and the theater in Kolingasse. In 1957 he moved to the former GDR for political reasons , where he worked on various stages, for example at the Landestheater Altenburg and in Frankfurt / Oder. From 1970 Müller-Reitzner then worked in the Federal Republic of Germany, initially as an actor and director at the Bielefeld Theater and the Bremerhaven City Theater . He later worked as a director for the Niederdeutscher Bühnenbund and from 1991 at the Theater auf dem Flett, an amalgamation of various amateur theaters in the Elbe-Weser triangle .

Müller-Reitzner got one of his first film roles in Austria, in 1957 he played in the homeland film Who Loves Home . From 1959 he was seen in other Austrian as well as in productions of GDR television and DEFA . In the 1960s, he also appeared in several radio plays on the GDR radio .
