Kurt Schramm (* 1937 ) is a former German ski jumper and today's ski jumping official.

Career

Schramm made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1960/61 . After finishing 29th in the opening competition in Oberstdorf , he jumped ninth in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the first time among the top ten. In Innsbruck he only came in 23rd, but was able to jump back into the top 10 on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze in Bischofshofen and finished eighth. In the overall ranking, he reached 814.7 points and landed in 14th place.

In the following years until 1966 he was unable to build on this success during the tour and mostly ended up only in the lower ranks. Only in the Four Hills Tournament 1962/63 did he achieve his best individual result in his career with fifth place in his only jumping in Innsbruck. Before that, he had reached 15th place at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1962 in Zakopane, Poland, from the large hill with two jumps to 94.5 meters. He jumped from the normal hill to 67.5 and 69.5 meters and thus finished 11th. At the ski flying week on the Kulm he was fourth in the same year with a best distance of 133 meters. At the GDR ski championships in 1962 on the Walter-Ulbricht-Schanze in Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig , he won the bronze medal in individual jumping behind Helmut Recknagel and Veit Kühr .

After the end of his active career, Schramm became involved in Brotterode . From 1993 he was part of the team responsible for hosting the ski jumping Continental Cup there . He was also a jumping judge at school and junior competitions.
