Geographical location

Kustrena is about 12 km northwest of Könnern on the east bank of the Saale .

history

Kustrena, earlier spelling: Custrena or Cüstrena, belonged to the Lords of Krosigk auf Beesen since 1522 . The place was in the Saale district of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg . With the annexation of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg to Prussia, the place belonged to the Brandenburg-Prussian Duchy of Magdeburg from 1680 . The Beesen line of the Lords of Krosigk had to sell Neu-Beesen in 1720 and Alt-Beesen in 1737 to the King of Prussia. The royal office of Beesen , to which Kustrena (Cüstrena) also belonged, arose from the possession of the Beesen line of the Lords of Krosigk . With the Peace of Tilsit in 1807, Kustrena was incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia and assigned to the Halle district in the Saale department. The place belonged to the canton of Cönnern . After Napoleon's defeat and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Napoleon's allied opponents liberated the Saalkreis in early October 1813. During the political reorganization after the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Kustrena was attached to the administrative district of Merseburg in the Prussian province of Saxony in 1816 and assigned to the Saalkreis.

Due to the district reform in the GDR in 1952 , the place became part of the Bernburg district in the Halle district , which became the Bernburg district in 1990 and was added to the Salzlandkreis in 2007. On January 1, 1957, Kustrena became part of Beesenlaublingen, which in turn was incorporated into the town of Könnern on January 1, 2005.
