The gmina wiejska Kutno is an independent rural municipality in Poland in the powiat Kutno in the Łódź Voivodeship . Its seat is in the city of Kutno . The rural community, to which the city of Kutno itself does not belong, has an area of 122.3 km², on which (as of June 30, 2019) 8,709 people live.

86% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 6% is covered with forest.

From 1975 to 1998 the rural community belonged to the Płock Voivodeship .
