Jauhenija Kuzapalawa ( Belarusian Яўгенія Куцапалава , Russian Евгения Владимировна Куцепалова / Yevgeniya Vladimirovna Kuzepalowa * 7. June 1978 in Divnogorsk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian and later Belarusian biathlete .

Jauhenija Kuzapalawa was active in the years before and after the turn of the millennium. In 1998 she started in Jericho and Valcartier for her native Russia, starting at the Junior World Championships and was 27th in the individual and 15th in the sprint. At the Summer Biathlon World Championships in 2000 in Khanty-Mansiysk , she won silver in the relay race with Swetlana Dementjewa , Natalja Sokolowa and Evgenija Michailowa . She celebrated her debut in the biathlon world cup for Belarus at the start of the 2001/02 season in Hochfilzen and was 70 in her first sprint. In the following races, Kuzapalawa was able to improve and stabilize. However, she could not run into the immediate vicinity of the points. Nevertheless, the Belarusian was nominated for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . First she was there 44th in the sprint and qualified for the pursuit race. There Kuzapalawa was able to improve to 28th place. With this she also won her first and only World Cup points. With Wolha Nasarawa , Lyudmila Arlouskaja and Jelena Khrustaljowa , she also ran into seventh place in the relay race. After the games she ran the European Biathlon Championships in 2002 in Kontiolahti and was 15th in the individual, ninth in the sprint and 22nd in pursuit. A little later, Kuzapalawa reached in a relay race in Lahti , in which Ksenija Sikunkowa Khrustaljowa replaced in the Olympic formation, with sixth place, her best World Cup result in a relay race. After the season she had no more assignments at the highest international level.
