Kyle Greentree (born November 15, 1983 in Victoria , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract at Dornbirner EC from the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League .

Career

Kyle Greentree began his career as a hockey player with the Victoria Salsa, for which he was active from 1999 to 2004 in the British Columbia Hockey League . He then played for three years for the team at the University of Alaska Fairbanks , before the attacker received a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on March 14, 2007 as a free agent .

For their farm team from the American Hockey League , the Philadelphia Phantoms , he was on the ice for the first time in professional ice hockey towards the end of the 2006/07 season . In the following season, the left shooter made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Flyers, where he remained pointless and punished in two games. In exchange for the Swiss Tim Ramholt , Greentree was transferred to the Calgary Flames on June 30, 2008 , for which he played two more games in the NHL in the 2008/09 season . However, he spent the rest of the season with their then AHL farm team, the Quad City Flames . In the 2009/10 season he played for the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL. In the summer of 2010, he received a two-way contract for two years with the Washington Capitals , for whose farm team he was active in the AHL. In the 2013/14 season he played at EHC Basel in the NLB. On July 6, 2014, due to the insolvency of the EHC Basel, he moved to the DEL to the Schwenninger Wild Wings . After a year in the DEL, he and three other foreigners were signed by the Dornbirn EC in the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League in July 2015 .
