Milan Kytnár (born May 19, 1989 in Topoľčany , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HC Slovan Bratislava from the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Milan Kytnár began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HC Topoľčany , for whose professional team he made his debut in the first division , the second Slovak division, in the 2006/07 season . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2007 in the fifth round as a total of 127th player by the Edmonton Oilers . He then played from 2007 to 2010 for the Kelowna Rockets , Saskatoon Blades and Vancouver Giants in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League . The center spent the 2010/11 season with Edmonton's farm team Oklahoma City Barons in the American Hockey League (AHK). The following season he started again with the Barons in the AHL, but ran parallel to their cooperation partner Stockton Thunder from the ECHL and the Edmonton Oilers from the National Hockey League (NHL).

In February 2012, Kytnár was signed by HPK Hämeenlinna from the Finnish SM-liiga .

International

For Slovakia Kytnár took part in the U18 Junior World Championship 2007 and the U20 Junior World Championship 2009 .
