Lácacséke is a municipality ( Hungarian község ) with 255 inhabitants (2011) in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County in northeast Hungary .
location
Lácacséke is located in the Northern Hungary region, 120 km northeast of the Miskolc county seat . Neighboring communities are Dámóc 4 km, Kisrozvágy 7 km, Ricse 7 km and Semjén 3 km. The nearest town, Kisvárda, is 25 km from Lácacséke. The border with Slovakia is around 2 km north . The first Slovak town across the border is Pribeník .
History and appearance
Lácacséke was created as a merger of the two villages Láca and Cséke around 1950. The Slavic name Láca was first mentioned in 1364 in connection with a legal dispute over ownership of the lands. In 1598 the place became the property of the Láczay family.
The Calvinist village church dates from 1808.
