Pribeník (until 1948 Slovak "Perbenik"; Hungarian Perbenyik ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia , with a population of 987 (as of December 31, 2019) and is located in Okres Trebišov , a circle of kraj Košický .
geography
The municipality is located in the south- eastern part of the Eastern Slovak Lowlands in the Medzibodrožie region, near the Hungarian border. The center of the village lies at an altitude of 100 m nm and is five kilometers from Kráľovský Chlmec , 30 kilometers from Sátoraljaújhely and 60 kilometers from Trebišov .
history
Pribeník probably existed before the 11th century, it was first mentioned in writing in 1323. From the 14th to the 17th century, the place developed as a market town. In 1828 there are 81 houses and 599 inhabitants.
The place in Semplin County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary until 1919 and then became part of Czechoslovakia . Due to the First Vienna Arbitration Award , he was again in Hungary from 1938-45.
