Hriadky (until the 19th century Slovak "rock group Hrádky" or "Hrátky"; Hungarian Gerenda ) is a municipality in the east of Slovakia with 419 inhabitants (December 31, 2019), which for Okres Trebišov of, a circle kraj Košický heard. It is part of the traditional Zemplín landscape .
geography
The municipality is located in the western part of the Eastern Slovak Lowlands on the Trnávka river . The center of the village is at an altitude of 111 m nm and is four kilometers from Sečovce and 13 kilometers from Trebišov .
Neighboring communities are Dvorianky in the north, Vojčice in the east and south and Sečovce in the west.
history
Hriadky was first mentioned in writing in 1320 as the Gerenda Inferior . In 1601 the place was part of the dominion of Trebišov and counted 17 settlements at that time. In 1787 the village had 45 houses and 346 inhabitants, in 1828 there were 48 houses and 353 inhabitants who were employed as farmers.
Until 1918/1919, the place in Semplin County belonged to the Kingdom of Hungary and then came to Czechoslovakia or now Slovakia.

According to the 2011 census, 451 people lived in Hriadky, including 442 Slovaks , five Czechs and two Moravians . Two residents did not provide any information about their ethnicity .
269 residents supported the Roman Catholic Church, 124 residents the Greek Catholic Church, 14 residents the Reformed Church, seven residents the Orthodox Church, four residents the Evangelical Church AB and two residents the Jehovah's Witnesses; one resident professed a different denomination. 19 residents had no denomination and 11 residents had no denomination.
