Vojčice (Hungarian Vécse ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia with 2172 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). Administratively, it belongs to Okres Trebišov , which is part of the Košický kraj district .
geography
The municipality is located in the eastern Slovak lowlands at an altitude of 108 m nm and is only six kilometers from Trebišov .
history
The first written mention comes from the year 1217. At first the place belonged to the local landowners, then from the late 14th century to the estate of Trebischau. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the Csáky , Forgách and Andrássy families had their estates here. In 1828 there were 98 houses and 713 residents here.
