The L & O Holding is not an independent company, but comprises the two interconnected management holdings L & O Holding Verwaltungs-GmbH and L & O Holding GmbH & Co. KG, based in Emsdetten . The companies are registered to the entrepreneurs Michael Lüke and Thomas Ortmeier, who are also the namesake of the holding company.
About the holding
Weapons (e.g. hunting and assault rifles , sport and service pistols ) and textiles (e.g. nonwovens for filters and hygiene articles) are produced at around 30 locations . The earned revenue , said ranges are each contribute half. Panorama puts the turnover at "several hundred million euros". In the publication of the consolidated financial statements for the 2016 financial year in the Federal Gazette , L&O SIG SAUER Verwaltungs-GmbH reports sales of around 545 million euros.
Administrative headquarters
In 2009, the holding company planned to buy and then expand a restaurant in Emsdetten into a new administrative center with an underground shooting range . Because of the memories of the rampage in Emsdetten on November 20, 2006, the project was heavily criticized, so that the holding rejected the plans.
Searches
On July 14, 2014, the owners' homes and the holding company's business premises were searched. The background was investigations into possible violations of the Foreign Trade and Arms Act at SIG Sauer .
